Biography
Jennie Moncur studied at Goldsmith's College, University of London (1981-84) before specializing as a tapestry weaver at the Royal College of Art, London (1984-86).
She has been a visiting lecturer at Middlesex University (1996-1998), the Royal College of Art (1993-95) and at the Glasgow School of Art (1988-1990).
In 1997 she was appointed by the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport as a trustee of the Crafts Council. She was joint chair of the Council's Development Award committee (1997-1993) and served on the Council's Finance and General Purpose committee and on the Council's Nominations committee before completing her term in 2004.
